Level up your marine canvas skills with a course built by a fabricator, for fabricators. Whether you’re just opening Rhino for the first time or you’ve been modeling for years, this class takes you step by step through the exact tools and workflows you’ll use in the shop. Learning Objectives: *Develop confidence using Rhino3D as a daily tool in your marine canvas workflow *Build a repeatable process from raw measurements to production-ready patterns *Strengthen your ability to solve complex surfacing and patterning challenges *Understand how digital tools—measuring devices, flattening software, CNC cutting—fit together in a complete workflow *See where automation with macros, Grasshopper, and Rhino.Python can boost efficiency What You’ll Learn: *Navigating Rhino’s interface, object types, and viewports *Precision 2D modeling, curve tools, and control point editing *Building 3D wireframes and surfaces with Sweep2, Loft, and NetworkSrf *Flattening 3D surfaces into usable 2D patterns *Panel prep: seam allowances, match marks, labels, and layout optimization *Exporting clean files for CNC cutting and plotters *Creating template files, managing layers, and rendering basics How it works: *Five live Zoom sessions (20 hours total), January 26, 28, 30, February 2, 4 from 8AM–12PM Mountain Time (Denver, UTC-8) *Daily demonstrations plus optional homework with real-world projects *Sessions recorded and available for review *Small class sizes (max 12) with time for Q&A and project support Requirements: *Computer capable of running Zoom + Rhino3D (dual screens recommended) *Rhino3D 7 or newer (90-day free trial available) *Basic computer literacy—no CAD experience required Details: *Class minimum: 4 participants (course rescheduled/refunded if not met) *Discounts available for multiple signups from the same company


Cancellation Policy

If your cancellation is at least 7 days in advance of the class, you will receive a full refund. If your cancellation is less than 7 days in advance, you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. No-shows will be charged 100% of the fee for scheduled services.
